Rob Crilly is Pakistan correspondent of The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph. Before that he spent five years writing about Africa for The Times, The Irish Times, The Daily Mail, The Scotsman and The Christian Science Monitor from his base in Nairobi. South of West is a laboured description of Africa’s position relative to the developed world. Or something. And can also describe Pakistan’s position relative to the global North. Possibly. His book on Darfur was published in February 2010 and he also blogs for the Frontline Club.

I really liked and enjoyed your book on Darfur (everyone’s favorite African war). I was initially looking for readings to become more knowledgeable about South Sudan and your book did make me more knowledgeable on that and the totality of the conflicts in Sudan. I’ll warmly recommend your book!
